Abrams is the Director of Alternative Investments for the Alcatel-Lucentís Pension Fund where he is responsible for developing and implementing the investment strategies for the fundís global private equity and real estate portfolios. Prior to joining Alcatel-Lucent, Mr. Abrams was the Director of Alternative Investments for FINRAís Investments Office where he oversaw the global private equity, real estate and hedge fund portfolios. Before FINRA, Mr. Abrams was a Manager for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute where he helped manage the private equity and real estate portfolios. Prior to joining Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Mr. Abrams was the Real Estate Portfolio Manager where he oversaw the real estate program for the DuPont Pension Fund.

Mr. Abrams holds a CFA, has an M.B.A. in Finance from George Washington University and a B.S. from Syracuse University. Mr. Abrams has been a member of the Board of Editors of the Institutional Real Estate Letter, the Urban Land Institute, NAREIT, and Association of Investment Management Research.

William A. Ackman, CEO, Pershing Square Capital Management

William Ackman is the CEO and Portfolio Manager of Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P., an SEC registered investment adviser founded in 2003. Pershing Square is a concentrated research-intensive fundamental value investor in long and occasionally short investments in the public markets, typically focusing on large-cap and mid-cap companies.

Prior to forming Pershing Square, Mr. Ackman co-founded Gotham Partners Management Co., LLC, an investment adviser that managed public and private equity hedge fund portfolios. Prior to Gotham Partners, Mr. Ackman began his career in real estate investment banking at Ackman Brothers & Singer, Inc. Mr. Ackman received an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Harvard College.

Mr. Ackmanís board memberships include Chairman of The Howard Hughes Corporation (NYSE: HHC), J.C. Tony Acquadro, Vice President Institutional Markets, BTS Asset Management

Tony C. Acquadro is Vice President of Institutional Markets for BTS Asset Management and a member of the BTS Investment Committee. He joined BTS in December, 2010 as Head of Institutional sales. Before that Mr. Acquadro served as Managing Director for MFIP, Inc. a Family Office and CTA in Ardmore, PA. Prior roles include CEO of DaVinci Global Advisors, LLC and DaVinci Investment Advisors, a quant-based systematic hedge fund. From 1998 to 2003, Mr. Acquadro served as National Vice President for ProFunds. Mr. Acquadro began his career with Morgan Stanley in 1993 in Washington, DC. Mr. Acquadro is also a Director at The Hedge Fund Association, a member of The Market Technicians Association, The Managed Funds Association and The CT Hedge Fund Association.

Mr. Acquadro graduated from The Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management.

Anselm Adams, Director - Private Equity Senior Portfolio Manager, PECA Limited

Anselm Adams is Director and Private Equity Senior Portfolio Manager at PECA Limited (member of the Institutional Limited Partners Association, British Venture Capital Association and Private Equity Investors Association) part of a European Single Family Office, which invests in private equity assets (FoF, funds and direct co-investments) in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia.

Mr. Adams is member of the Investment Committee of Reig Patrimonia (Single Family Office) and also Board or Advisory Board member of some of PECAís funds and direct investments.

Mr. Adams has over 19 years experience in private equity and venture capital investing and investment banking having worked at Schroders, Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from SUNY at Stony Brook; and as a Fulbright Scholar, a M.S. in Electrical Engineering and a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, he has studied an AMP/PADE at IESE and also, has participated in programs at the Harvard Business School, University of Chicago/Booth School of Business, EVCA and ILPA Institutes. He has passed the Series 3, 7, 63 and SFA exams.

Stephen Adler, Editor-in-Chief, Reuters

Stephen J. Adler is Editor-in-Chief of Reuters News and Executive Vice President News of Thomson Reuters, where he directs the editorial operations and news strategy for the company.

The largest news agency in the world, Reuters News employs over 2,900 full time journalists on the ground in 200 bureaus around the world. Mr. Adlerís team delivers the news, photographs, video, insight and commentary that power the worldís markets and media, reaching over one billion people a day.

Mr. Adler joined Thomson Reuters in January 2010 as Senior Vice President and Editorial Director of the companyís Professional Division. In that role, Mr. Adler built and directed news operations to deliver original journalism and relevant Reuters content to the millions of subscribers who rely on the companyís Legal, Tax & Accounting, and Healthcare & Science businesses for information products and services. He was named Editor-in-Chief, Reuters News and Executive Vice President News, Thomson Reuters in 2011.

Before joining Thomson Reuters, Mr. Adler was Editor-in-Chief of BusinessWeek, where, during his five-year tenure, the magazine and its website won more than 100 major journalism awards. Earlier, he spent sixteen years at The Wall Street Journal. As Investigative Editor there, Adler managed reporting teams that won three Pulitzer Prizes between 1995 and 1999. As Deputy Managing Editor, he oversaw the award-winning Wall Street Journal Online, created The Wall Street Journal Books imprint, and co-taught the ethics and standards course required of all news employees. Previously he was Editor of The American Lawyer. He began his career as a reporter at local newspapers in Florida.

A graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Law School, Mr. Adler is author of the book The Jury: Trial and Error in the American Courtroom, which won the Silver Gavel Award from the American Bar Association. With his wife, the novelist Lisa Grunwald, he was co-editor of the best-selling Letters of the Century: America 1900ó1999 and Womenís Letters: America from the Revolutionary War to the Present. They are currently working on a third anthology, about marriage through the centuries. Adler serves on the boards of the Thomson Reuters Foundation and the Columbia Journalism Review. He lives in New York City with his wife and two children.

He was a founding investor in BladeLogic and has also invested in Applimation, Bazaarvoice (NASDAQ: BV), Brightree, Consona, Glassdoor, Guidewire Software (NASDAQ: GWRE), Internet Brands, LifeMed Media, Marketo, Mass Relevance, Omniture, RealPage (NASDAQ: RP), Sprinklr, Tealium, VSS Monitoring, and Wayfair. Neeraj is a Charter Member of TiE, an active advisor to local entrepreneurs, and was named to the Forbes Midas List, which ranks the top 100 venture capitalists around the world.

Prior to Battery, Mr. Agrawal worked as a product manager at Real Networks, an operating executive at SkyTV, and a management consultant with Booz-Allen. He holds an Engineering degree in Computer Science from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Christian Albert, Managing Partner, Bowside Capital

Christian Albert is the founder and managing partner of Bowside Capital, a private investment firm that specializes in the private equity, small capitalization market. Bowside Capital invests in, and co-invests with, U.S. private equity funds with targeted capital commitments of $100 million or less.

Mr. Albert manages the firm and its investment activities, and serves on numerous investment related committees. He was most recently the founder of The Albert Group, LLC, and was previously a regional director at Targus Group International. Mr. Albert earned a M.St. from the University of Oxford and an A.B. from Brown University. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Brown University Sports Foundation.

Norman Alpert, Managing Director, Co-Founder, Vestar Capital Partners

Norman Alpert was one of the founding partners of Vestar Capital in 1988. At Vestar, he has been responsible for originating, negotiating and financing private equity investments in multiple industries and providing ongoing strategic direction to various portfolio companies. He currently co-heads Vestarís Healthcare efforts. He is a member of Vestarís Executive and Investment Committees, and is actively involved across many of Vestarís industry verticals.

Mr. Alpert is currently a Director of HealthGrades, MediMedia, St John Knits, and Press Ganey Associates.

Mr. Alpert began his career in 1980 as a Commercial Banker at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, and was a member of the Special Finance Division from 1982 to 1984 when he left to become a member of the Management Buyout Group at The First Boston Corporation.

Mr. Alpert is a Trustee of Brown University, The Brown Hillel Foundation, the Brown University Sports Foundation, the National Rowing Foundation; American Friends of Shalva (the association for mentally and physically challenged children in Israel) and White Plains Hospital (member of finance; quality performance improvement; strategy sub-committees, and board of directors).

Eric Alt, Managing Director, Director of Research, Hall Capital Partners

Eric Alt is a Managing Director, Director of Research, and Head of the Absolute Return group which covers credit, distressed, and absolute return investments. He is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee and Investment Review Committee.

Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Alt spent four years as a Managing Director in convertible securities at Piper Jaffray & Co. in San Francisco. Previously, he worked for Robertson Stephens, most recently as a Managing Director in the convertible securities department. While at Piper Jaffray & Co. and Robertson Stephens, Mr. Alt was involved in over 100 convertible new issue and restructuring transactions. Prior to joining Robertson Stephens in 1997, Mr. Alt was a principal in an entrepreneurial venture and also worked at Kluge & Company, a private investment firm, where he focused on venture investments. He started his career in 1989 at Arthur Andersen & Co. in Dallas as a Certified Public Accountant in the firm's Real Estate Advisory group.

Mr. Alt was named one of Institutional Investor's 2011 Rising Stars of Hedge Funds. He is a member of the Investment Committee of Dignity Health. Mr. Alt graduated summa cum laudefrom The University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in Accounting and earned an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.

Jason Andris, Managing Director , VIA Funds

Jason P. Andris is a managing director and member of the General Partner of the Venture Investment Associates funds having joined the firm in 2000. He is a member of the Firmís Investment Committee and has responsibility across all facets of the firm, i.e., the management of relationships with the funds' managers and its limited partners, as well as, the identification and development of new relationships for the firm.

Previously, Jason worked at Robertson Stephens and Co. as an Analyst in the investment banking group and subsequently was promoted to Associate. He was involved in all facets of corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions transactions working with many emerging growth companies and completing over a dozen transactions including the execution of two private placements, with aggregate value totaling over $1.4 billion.

Following his time at RS&Co., he served as Manager of Financial Analysis and Planning with one of his investment banking clients, Global Vacation Group, Inc. (NYSE: GVG), a consolidator of value-added travel services companies. With GVG, he participated in the acquisition and integration of nine businesses, two equity offerings, and oversaw treasury investments, a share-repurchase program, and investor relations. His responsibilities also included reporting directly to the CEO and CFO of the company, assisting them with general management responsibilities.

Jason received an A.B. in history with a minor in economics from Hamilton College, where he was elected to Phi Alpha Theta history honor society. He received his M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. While at Tuck, he worked with the Center for Private Equity in performing a survey and analysis of valuation practices in the private equity industry. Separately, he researched the impact of secondary offerings and the end of insidersí lockup periods on companiesí stock prices.

Jason is a Trustee of the Morris Land Conservancy and serves as Treasurer of the Lamington Conservancy.

David Andryc, Managing Director, Auda International

David Andryc has been a private equity investor for 23 years. After serving as a partner of a middle market US buyout fund, he founded Auda Internationalís co-investment program in 2001. At Auda, he has managed two flagship co-investment funds and also led the purchase of a secondary direct portfolio consisting of 23 underlying companies. Founded in 1989, Auda is a global private equity investment firm affiliated with Harald Quandt Holding, with approximately $4.8B of commitments under management and offices in New York, Bad Homburg (Frankfurt), London and Hong Kong.

Thomas Angell, Principal, Rothstein Kass

Tom Angell is the principal-in-charge of Rothstein Kassí national Commercial Services Group and its Private Equity practice, and he is a member of the Firmís Executive Committee.

Tom has extensive experience with both public and private companies, including advising private equity funds and investment advisors on all aspects of private equity transactions, such as raising financing, deal origination and structuring. He has over 25 years of experience providing audit, tax and consulting services to middle market businesses in the manufacturing, distribution, and service industries. Additionally, Tom specializes in organizational structure, operational issues and mergers and acquisitions for middle market businesses.

Tom is a certified public accountant and he is a member of the New Jersey, New York, and Virginia Societies of Certified Public Accountants as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Rutgers College and a Master of Business Administration degree in Information Systems from the Rutgers Graduate School of Management.

His activities outside the Firm include membership in and serving as a former chair of the AICPA Large Firm networking group. Tom also serves as a treasurer to the Drumthwacket Foundation in New Jersey.

Maggie Arvedlund is a Managing Director at the Fortress Partners Fund in New York where she is responsible for originating, executing and overseeing a portfolio of direct debt and equity, private equity and real assets fund investments. Fortress Partners Fund is an endowment-style fund focused on alternative investment strategies which manages capital on behalf of the founders of Fortress and other institutional investors. Prior to joining Fortress, Ms. Arvedlund worked at Hall Capital Partners where she was responsible for executing investments in private equity funds and in fund management companies. Maggie received a BS with Honors from Vanderbilt University in Economics and an MBA in Finance from NYU's Stern School of Business. Ms. Arvedlund serves on several non-profit boards and is a founding member of the NYU Stern Private Equity Advisory Board.
