Brian Gallagher, Partner, Twin Bridge Capital Partners

Brian Gallagher co-founded Twin Bridge Capital Partners and has extensive experience in the middle-market buyout industry. He shares responsibility for all aspects of the Firm's investment and fundraising activities. Mr. Gallagher serves on the Investment Committee of Twin Bridge Capital Partners.

Before co-founding Twin Bridge Capital Partners, Mr. Gallagher was a Principal with UIB Capital, where he was responsible for leading private equity investments in the United States. Mr. Gallagher was also a Partner at PPM America Capital Partners, where he led investments in private equity funds and co-investments. Mr. Gallagher began his career at Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Gallagher is a board member of Renew Life, the Grosvenor Registered Multi-Strategy Fund and HFS Chicago Scholars. He also holds observer seats on numerous boards. Mr. Gallagher earned his MBA at Northwestern University and a BA in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Gallagher is a member of the CFA Institute, the AICPA and the Association for Corporate Growth.

Scott Garfield, Managing Director, Hancock Capital Management, LLC

Scott Garfield is a Managing Director at Hancock Capital Management, a subsidiary of John Hancock Life Insurance Company, where he is responsible for originating, executing and monitoring equity co-investment and mezzanine transactions. He also oversees Hancock’s co-investment program. Hancock Capital is focused on PE fund commitments, mezzanine financings, equity co-investments, and secondary fund investments. Prior to joining Hancock Capital in 2002, Scott was a Partner of FinanStar Group, a boutique investment bank. His background also includes numerous M&A assignments and corporate finance transactions while serving in Wachovia’s Capital Markets Group. Mr. Garfield received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Williams College and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Diane Garnick, Clear Alternatives LLC, CEO

Ms. Garnick is a Founder and CEO of Clear Alternatives, a woman owned and operated asset management firm, focused on applying Behavioral Finance and the Cognitive Sciences to the investment process.

At Clear Alternatives, Ms. Garnick, along with her team, play an integral role in the development, trading and management of the firms flagship fund, Behavioral Beta.

Diane serves on the Board of the Research Foundation of the CFA Institute and the Investment Committee of CHRISTUS Health.

Diane has authored hundreds of reports that focus on portfolio construction, volatility, corporate actions, equity indices, exchange traded funds (“ETFs”), futures, options, accounting and taxation. Garnick’s writing style has been described as “translating math into English” by Pensions & Investments. She brings complex investment theories into the reach of many decision makers. Her tireless efforts have helped improve the risk-­‐return profile of thousands of pension plans.

Diane spent her career focused on pensions, foundations and endowments in a variety of roles. She began her career as an Equity Derivative Strategist at Merrill Lynch where she spearheaded the firm’s global pension initiative and provided valuable insight to plans considering various investment strategies. She moved on to become the Global Investment Strategist at State Street Global Advisors, where she focused on developing their enhanced, ETF, and fiduciary businesses. More recently Diane was the Investment Strategist at Invesco, one of the world's largest asset management firms.

Ms. Garnick holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Gardiner Garrard, Co-Founder, CEO, & Managing Partner, TTV Capital

Gardiner is a co-founder and managing partner of TTV Capital, a venture capital firm focused exclusively on the financial technology market. TTV Capital is based in Atlanta, GA and has invested in more than 30 financial technology companies including Green Dot, PayCycle, Neovest, and Cardlytics. Gardiner has more than fourteen years of venture capital experience and has served on the board of 11 financial technology companies. Michael Garrity, CEO, FinanceIt

Michael Garrity has spent most of the last 10 years devoted to driving growth in businesses dedicated to innovation in financial services. Prior to co-founding FinanceIt, Michael was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at epost (www.epost.ca), a world leader in the electronic bill presentment and payment industry. Michael was responsible for leading the team that built the epost customer network which grew to include every major Canadian financial institution, over 100 of Canada's largest companies and over 3 million online users. Previous to this role, Michael was on the founding team of an Ottawa-based Internet start-up creating online enterprise solutions, on the launch team of a successful Ontario Labour Sponsored Investment Fund and was a management consultant with a Washington, DC based systems integration firm. Michael also served as a Legislative and Special Assistant to a number of Members of Parliament at the House of Commons in Ottawa. Michael attended both the University of Manitoba and Carleton University and holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics. Michael was born in Churchill, Manitoba, and has lived in British Columbia, Ontario and the North West Territories. He currently resides with his family in Toronto.

Steve Gelsi (pronounced “Jelsi”) covers deals, fundraising and trends in U.S. private equity as senior editor at Buyouts and a contributor to peHub and Reuters TV. Mr. Gelsi's recent Buyouts cover stories focused on the rising popularity of sponsored initial public offerings and a shift toward buttoned-down annual meetings for buyout funds. Mr. Gelsi joined Buyouts in March 2013 after 15 years as a journalist and video correspondent for Dow Jones MarketWatch where he worked a variety of beats, from energy and IPOs to media and technology. Mr. Gelsi was one of MarketWatch’s first bloggers with coverage of Occupy Wall Street and later as a contributor to the site’s blog, The Tell. Mr. Gelsi authored the 2002 book, “How America Made A Killing And Lost Its Shirt” and served as president of the New York Financial Writers’ Association in 2008. Mr. Gelsi lives in Montclair, N.J., with his wife and three children.

Julius Genachowski, Managing Director, The Carlyle Group

Mr. Genachowski returned to the private sector after serving as Chairman of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission from 2009 to 2013. He presided at the FCC during a period of robust innovation and investment around communications technology and software, including wired and wireless broadband applications, devices and networks. Under his leadership, the FCC took major actions to extend broadband access, accelerate the roll out of advanced mobile networks, free-up spectrum for wireless communications, preserve a vibrant Internet and media landscape, foster competition and enhance public safety communications. Genachowski also extended the FCC’s international engagement, visiting more than 20 countries, leading U.S. delegations and working on agreements involving global Internet policy, technology, spectrum, national security, cybersecurity and privacy. During his tenure, the FCC was named the most improved agency in the federal government, and one of Wired Magazine’s “top 7 disruptions”.

Prior to his FCC appointment, Mr. Genachowski worked for more than a decade in the private sector. As a senior executive and member of the Office of the Chairman, he helped build IAC/InterActiveCorp, which owned and operated multiple Internet and media businesses, including Expedia, Ticketmaster and USA Network. During this time, BusinessWeek named Genachowski one of 25 “managers to watch” in the media sector.

Mr. Genachowski has taught a joint class at Harvard’s Business and Law Schools, and served as a Senior Fellow at the Aspen Institute. He has been a board member and advisor to several public and private companies, a Special Adviser at investment firm General Atlantic, on the staff of the Congressional Select Committee on the Iran-Contra Affair and a law clerk to United States Supreme Court Justice David Souter.

He graduated with highest honors from Columbia College in 1985 and Harvard Law School in 1991, serving on the Harvard Law Review with President Barack Obama. Mr. Genachowski has long advised President Obama on technology issues. He is the son of immigrants and led the United States delegation to the 65th Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.

Carmen Gigliotti, Managing Director, DuPont Capital Management

Mr. Carmen Gigliotti joined DCM in 1992. He manages the investment team responsible for partnership selection and portfolio management. Prior to joining DCM, Mr. Gigliotti was Vice President of First Westinghouse Capital Corporation, where he was responsible for making direct investments in private placements of subordinated debt and equity. Before joining Westinghouse, Mr. Gigliotti was Assistant Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at PNC Merchant Banking where he advised bank clients on acquisition and divestiture transactions, and valuations. Prior to joining PNC, Mr. Gigliotti was with Price Waterhouse, where his last assignment was Tax Manager. Mr. Gigliotti earned his B.S. at Pennsylvania State University, his M.B.A. at the University of Pittsburgh, and is a CFA charterholder.

Caroline Gillespie, Managing Director, Marketable Alternatives, Commonfund

Caroline Gillespie shares responsibility for portfolio analysis, manager identification, due diligence, and investment monitoring. Prior to joining Commonfund in 2005, Caroline served as a Partner and Principal for Contego Capital Management, LLC, specializing in customized funds of hedge funds. She was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and monitoring hedge fund managers across a full range of strategies. Prior to joining Contego, Caroline was a Senior Vice President for Oppenheimer and Co. where she co-managed their funds of hedge funds program and monitored Oppenheimer’s private equity fund. Caroline began her career at Montrose Advisors, a boutique financial advisor specializing in managing customized funds of hedge funds and private equity portfolios. Caroline received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Toronto, and an M.A. and M.Phil. from Columbia University of New York.

Matt is a Managing Partner and Co-founder of Contour Venture Partners and is focused on investments in early stage financial services and SaaS/tech enabled companies. Matt was previously part of the launch team at Promontory Interfinancial Network, a FinTech startup, and before that worked at Red Hat. Earlier in his career he was at Morgan Stanley within its financial services focused venture capital fund and was a turnaround consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Matt is the founder of a nonprofit organization, StreetWise Partners, and has been a guest lecturer at Columbia Business School.

Oliver Gottschalg, Associate Professor, Strategy and Business Policy, HEC Paris

Professor Oliver Gottschalg is part of the Strategy Department at HEC School of Management, Paris. He serves as HEC’s Academic Director for the TRIUM Global Executive MBA Program, directs the HEC PE Observatory and teaches courses private equity, management buyouts, business strategy and entrepreneurship. He holds a Wirtschaftsingenieur Diploma from the University of Karlsruhe, an MBA from Georgia State University and a M.Sc. and PhD degree from INSEAD. His current research focuses on the strategic logic and the performance determinants of private equity investments. His work has been published in leading academic journals and in various publications for practitioners and was featured over 100 times in the business media (press, radio, TV and online) in the past 2 years. His book on ‘Private Equity Mathematics’ is one of the bestselling books with PEI Media. He regularly presents his research at academic conferences and private equity symposia and serves as an advisor to leading investors in the private equity industry. He served as an advisor to the European Parliament in the context of the ongoing debate about a possible need for regulation of the Private Equity industry. He is currently on sabbatical leave from HEC to focus on his company PERACS, a leading provider of standardized independent PE Track record analytics and validation services, currently advising approx. 10% of PE Fund Manager market worldwide.

Alexis Graham, Founder, Accelerate Product Partners

Alexis Graham has 20 years of experience working in the alternative fund industry having co-founded Acceleration Capital Group, (“ACG”) in March of 2008 and Accelerate Product Partners, (“APP”) in January 2014. The Accelerate Product is a SaaS business, platform and tool that leverages rich video to “clipify” all due diligence areas such as the investment process, philosophy, risk management, etc.

Mr. Graham’s experience includes capital raising for hedge funds with Arcadia Securities, LLC, an introducing broker-dealer owned and operated by a family office, starting a multi manager managed account hedge fund (ACG Multi Series), producing proprietary research on hedge fund seeding (ACG Seeder Demand) and producing multiple industry events (New York, San Francisco, Dallas). In addition his experience includes building the hedge fund information company HedgeWorld.com, where he served as Managing Director of Sales and worked as part of the team responsible for HedgeWorld Markets, a hedge fund capital raising platform. He also held positions at Optima Fund Management, a New York-based fund of hedge funds, and Gruss & Co. as a merger arbitrage analyst. Mr. Graham graduated from Hamilton College with a Bachelor of Arts. He earned his MBA from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Mr. Graham holds the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

Worth Groome, Investment Manager, Allianz Capital Partners of America, Inc.

Worth Groome is member of the private equity fund investment team of the Germany-based financial services company Allianz and is focused on buyout and growth equity investments in the Americas. Prior to joining Allianz Capital Partners (ACP) in New York in 2004, he was at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he worked in M&A and corporate finance for consumer and retail clients and financial institutions in the investment banking division. Worth graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics. Worth represents ACP on a number of partnership advisory boards.

For over a decade now, Ramneek has had the opportunity to build, invest and partner closely with the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the silicon valley. Over the course of his career he has both founded as well as invested in startups and is able to draw upon these experiences towards his mission of supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs.

He joined Citi Ventures in Apr 2011 to build an investing platform to identify and invest in leading startups in support of the strategic needs of Citi’s consumer and institutional businesses. At Citi Ventures, he focuses on Big Data & Analytics, Commerce & Payments as well as Next Generation Fin Tech & Fin Services space and has led Citi's investments in leading companies including Square, Jumio, Ayasdi, Datameer and Platfora.

Immediately prior to Citi Ventures, he helped build out the product and sales at Zappedy, which was one of the first companies to leverage the payments rails to close the loop between online transactions and offline fulfillment. The company was acquired by Groupon to become the nucleus of Groupon Rewards, their merchant services platform.

Prior to Zappedy, he was a Partner at Battery Ventures, where he helped develop the Online to Offline (O2O) Commerce thesis and worked closely with portfolio companies including Groupon. While at Battery, he also led the India investment efforts for the firm and helped build out an investment team and portfolio in India.

He began his professional career as a design engineer at PMC Sierra and also worked on the hardware design team at TiVo.

An engineer by training, he has a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, where he graduated at the top of his class.
