Robert Sanborn, Managing Member, Sanborn Kilcollin Partners, LLC

Robert Sanborn is a co-founder of Sanborn Kilcollin Partners and is responsible for the investment decisions and portfolio allocation of the Adviser.

Mr. Sanborn has over 29 years experience in portfolio management and investment analysis and has been a strong and consistent proponent of value investing. Mr. Sanborn was the portfolio manager of The Oakmark Fund, the flagship mutual fund of Harris Associates, L.P., from Oakmark’s launch in August 1991 through March 2000. During this period, The Oakmark Fund’s assets grew from $100,000 to over $9 billion. In 1998, Lipper, Inc. ranked Oakmark in the top 10% of value mutual funds, and Barron’s named Mr. Sanborn the 1997 Fund Manager of the Year. Mr. Sanborn was a long-time member of Harris Associates’ Board of Directors and Stock Selection Committee. Before joining Harris in 1988, he was a security analyst and equity portfolio manager for the Ohio State Teachers Retirement System, from 1983 to 1988. Mr. Sanborn holds a BA from Dartmouth College (1980) and an MBA from the University of Chicago (1983).

Andres Sandate, President & CEO, Endurance Strategies, LLC

Andres Sandate is the Founder and CEO of Endurance Strategies, LLC, (www.endurancestrategies.com) an integrated financial services platform consisting of a group of companies which provide investment consulting, strategic advisory and product development solutions to investment managers and investors. As CEO, he is responsible for the overall direction of the organization and devotes considerable time to evaluating hedge funds, alternative ‘40 Act mutual funds and other alternative investments.

Founded in 2010, Endurance Strategies most recent work includes launching several ’40 Act mutual fund launches via Endurance Series Trust, a Multiple Series Trust sponsored by Endurance Fund Services, LLC. Additionally, he created and recently hosted the 2014 Endurance Strategies Southeast Investment Summit, featuring the Liquid Alternatives Symposium Southeast. The Summit is an educational road-show platform aimed at providing investors, investment managers and the professionals who serve them, with access to the experts, research, and thinking driving the growth and development of the liquid alternatives industry.

Prior to starting Endurance Strategies, LLC, he was an investment banker with SunTrust Capital Markets and Regions Capital Markets. He earned an MBA and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and is a member of the Committee of Hearts for the Southeast Chapter of Hedge Funds Care as well as the Executive Committee of the University of Kansas Hispanic Alumni Chapter. Mr. Sandate also holds Series 7, 63, 65 and 79 securities licenses.

Tom Schauerman, Partner, Norwest Equity Partners

Tom Schauerman is a Partner at Norwest Equity Partners and focuses on management buyouts, recapitalizations, and growth financings within the technology and business services, manufacturing, and distribution industries. He is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, creating transaction structures, managing the investment due diligence process, and obtaining necessary financing for investments. Mr.Schauerman also works with portfolio management teams with their strategic planning, execution of business plans and completing add-on acquisitions. He has completed several successful investment and liquidity events for NEP portfolio companies, including Pelican Products, Amcom Software, Surgical Information Systems and GoHealth.

Prior to joining NEP in 1998, Mr.Schauerman worked with investment banking firm Crowell, Weedon & Company, where he successfully completed numerous mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and valuations. Tom received a BS degree from the University of California San Diego and a MBA from the University of Southern California.

Randy Schwimmer, Editor & Publisher, The Lead Left

Randy Schwimmer has been a member of senior management and investment committees for two of the premier middle market debt platforms in the US. He has extensive experience leading successful origination, distribution, and investment businesses and has a proven track record of building and developing relationships with lenders, sponsors and intermediaries in middle market loans.

Mr.Schwimmer is widely credited with developing loan syndications for middle market companies. As an influential thought leader in the middle market, Mr.Schwimmer shares his perspective in his well-regarded and widely-distributed weekly publication, “The Lead Left.”

Most recently, as Managing Director with The Carlyle Group, Mr.Schwimmer was responsible for all middle market loan capital markets activities, including loan structuring, syndications and distribution within the Carlyle GMS team. Mr.Schwimmer also had primary responsibility for managing the team's indirect origination platform, sourcing new business by tapping relationships with other mid cap participants. These include lenders– commercial Binance companies, business development companies, mezzanine, hedge funds,and more traditional investors in middle markets loans and mezzanine securities–PE sponsors, and Binancial intermediaries such as investment banks.

Mr.Schwimmer joined Carlyle in November 2011 as part of its acquisition of Churchill Financial,a debt capital provider to middle-market companies. Prior to joining Churchill in 2006 as its Senior Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets, Mr.Schwimmer was a Managing Director and Head of Leveraged Finance Syndication for BNP Paribas where he structured and syndicated leveraged transactions for the bank’s private equity clients. Before that,he spent 15 years at JP Morgan Chase in Corporate Banking and Loan Syndications in several capacities where he was responsible for originating, structuring and syndicating leveraged loans,including cash Blow and asset-based loans along with junior debt such as mezzanine and high yield securities.

Mr.Schwimmer is editor/publisher of “The Lead Left”,a weekly newsletter reviewing deals and trends in the capital markets. This publication(formerly “On The Left”)has a unique focus on the mid-market space and is read by many influential industry participants.

Sanjiv Shah, Managing Director, BAML Capital Access Funds Managment

Sanjiv K.Shah is a Managing Director of BAML Capital Access Funds Management, LLC (“BAML Capital Access Funds”), a subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation (“BAC”), where he focuses on the origination, due diligence, and structuring of new investment opportunities; communication with investors; and administrative matters, including managing the group’s Chicago-based team. He joined Bank of America in 1994 and is based in Chicago. In 1997, Mr. Shah co-founded the BAML Capital Access Funds group, and he has been instrumental in growing BAC’s portfolio of community development equity-related investments, including the formation of the group’s current fund-of-funds investment vehicles. Mr. Shah was one of the youngest associates to be promoted to the Managing Director level within BAC’s legacy Principal Investing division.

BAML Capital Access Funds is an experienced market-based, returns-driven private equity fund-of-funds manager and advisor focused on meeting the targeted mandates of large public pension funds, endowments and other institutional investors. The group has managed and advised on nearly $1.5 billion of capital for institutional investors across multiple mandates since 2002.

Mr. Shah has been active in his community and has held volunteer leadership positions in several local South Asian focused community organizations. In 2002, Mr. Shah was profiled in the India Tribune as a successful, young professional from the Indian-American community.

Mr. Shah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is also a graduate of the Venture Capital Institute. Mr. Shah serves on the limited partner advisory board of several private equity funds in which BAML Capital Access Funds has invested, and he is a frequent speaker at industry and trade association conferences. Mr. Shah is a current board member of The Association of Asian American Investment Managers, and he has led the planning of an annual conference and networking forum in Chicago in collaboration with partner organizations, which are focused on highlighting the talent and potential residing within the U.S. emerging domestic market. Mr. Shah is currently serving as a business mentor for the Cherie Blair Foundation For Women’s Mentoring Women in Business Program. He is a Registered Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois.

Justin Sheperd, CIO, Aurora Investment Management LLC

Justin D. Sheperd is a Partner, Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of Aurora Investment Management L.L.C. Aurora manages over $9 billion in hedge fund assets for onshore and offshore entities including customized portfolio solutions and a registered mutual fund. The Firm’s alternative asset investment business was established in 1988 with the launch of Aurora Limited Partnership.

Mr. Sheperd’s duties on behalf of the Firm include evaluating and analyzing both existing and prospective managers, their investment strategies and their risk controls. Mr. Sheperd also is responsible, as a voting member of the Firm’s Investment Committee, for the investment management of all products which Aurora privately offers both domestically and offshore and for providing investment services to private account portfolios of hedge funds.

Prior to joining Aurora in 1996, Mr. Sheperd worked in the Database Services Department of Information Resources Inc., a firm that conducts research for the consumer packaged goods industry.

Mr. Sheperd is currently a member of the Business Advisory Council of Miami University. He has been a guest speaker at Northwestern University, University of Chicago, and Miami University.

Mr. Shugrue is the Founder, President and Chief Investment Officer of Ascendant Capital Partners LP, sub-adviser to the ACP Funds Platform. Ascendant was formed in August of 2001 as a subsidiary of Turner Investment Partners, a $25 billion asset management firm.

In 2014 Ascendant partnered with Barlow Partners Inc., a New York based fund of hedge funds with over $750 million under management. Mr. Shugrue is responsible for the 1940 Act Registered fund platform offered by Barlow Partners.

Mr. Shugrue brings twenty one years of hedge fund experience and over thirty-six years of investment experience to the Firm. From 1988 to 2000 he served as the co-founder and partner of Argos Advisors LLC, a long/short equity hedge fund firm. Along with his partner, he started Argos and grew the firm from $1.6 million in 1988 to $135 million. Argos’ clients included high net worth individuals, off-shore investors, endowments and corporate pension plans. From 1981 to 1988 he was a Vice President in Institutional Equity Sales with Kidder Peabody, Prudential Securities and Merrill Lynch servicing large institutional clients in the Mid-Atlantic area. From 1977 to 1979 he was an Account Executive with Merrill Lynch.

He earned his MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1981 and his BS in Accounting from Villanova University in 1976. Gary is also an acting Board Member of The Quaker Investment Trust Funds and an Investment Committee Member of Project H.O.M.E. Philadelphia.

Greg Stento, Managing Director, HarbourVest Partners, LLC

Greg has been investing in private equity for more than two decades and is a member of HarbourVest’s Investment Committee. He joined the firm in 1998 and focuses on partnership investments, serving on the advisory board of several private equity partnerships. He works closely with many of the firm’s clients, advising them on private equity strategy and allocation. Mr.Stento joined HarbourVest from Comdisco Ventures, where he was a managing director and provided equity and debt capital to startup and emerging growth technology and life sciences companies. Prior to Comdisco, he was a general partner at Horsley Bridge Partners, where he was responsible for making and managing investments in a variety of private equity partnerships and companies. Mr.Stento also spent six years in marketing and sales at NCR Corporation, where he focused on information technology solutions for financial institutions. Béla Szigethy, Co-CEO, The Riverside Company

Béla Szigethy founded The Riverside Company in 1988 as a private equity firm investing in premier companies at the smaller end of the middle market. Throughout its history, Riverside has maintained a core philosophy of investing in smaller market-leading companies, enabling it to acquire more than 310 companies and to build more than $3.5 billion of capital under management in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. The firm’s investors include pension funds, endowments, funds-of-funds, insurance companies and banks.

Under the guidance of Mr. Szigethy and Co-CEO Stewart Kohl, Riverside has expanded and now employs more than 220 people in offices in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

Prior to founding Riverside, Mr. Szigethy was a Vice President in the leveraged finance department of Citibank, where he worked from 1981 to 1988. He participated as a senior debt lender in some of the large leveraged buyouts completed in the mid-1980s.

He holds a bachelor of arts degree with a double major in psychology and French from Oberlin College (1977), and a master’s of international affairs in international finance from Columbia University (1981).

Mr. Szigethy lives in Manhattan with his wife, Alice, and two children.
