Salman Kahn, Founder, Stabilis Capital

Mr. Khan is the founder and managing principal of Stabilis Capital Management, LP. Since 2010, Mr. Khan, has four separate investment fund vehicles with total capital commitments in excess of $650 million.

Prior to Stabilis, Mr. Khan spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs in loan acquisitions, with the last 7 years as a business unit leader. While at Goldman Sachs, he started and led the Latin American distressed loan acquisition business in small commercial and industrial loans, single family mortgage loans and other consumer loans from 1997-2001, investing over $250 mm during that time period. Mr. Khan then started and ran the US small and middle market loan acquisition business (same business as Stabilis) for Goldman Sachs from 2001-2004, investing over $400 million.

Following Goldman Sachs, Mr. Khan created and led Silver Point Capital’s middle market loan acquisition business for six years (2004-March 2010), investing over $550 million.

Prior to his leadership roles, Mr. Khan served as a key investment professional on more than $2.0 billion in loan acquisitions for Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Khan graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and earned his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Zach Kaplan, CEO, Inventables

Zach Kaplan is the founder and CEO of InventablesTM, the hardware store for designers. The company is attempting to bring manufacturing from the factory to the desktop making it as accessible as desktop publishing. Inventables sells machines and supplies for custom manufactures to make products ranging from jewelry and signs to furniture.

Mr. Kaplan has spoken on product development and innovation to audiences at conferences across the country, including the Technology Entertainment and Design Conference (TED), Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) National Conference, National Plastics Exposition, Sensors Expo & Conference and the International Housewares Show. His work has been covered by Business Week, Fortune, Forbes, CNN, NPR and other leading media outlets. In 2006 Mr. Kaplan was honored by Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry as a Modern Leonardo da Vinci and currently sits on the advisory committee for the Fast Forward exhibit and a board member at the Tinkering Lab of the Children's Museum.

Prior to Inventables he created Lever Works, a custom web application and hosting company that sold to Leo Media, a multimedia firm, in 2001. Mr. Kaplan holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Peter Kehrli, Partner, KPMG

Peter Kehrli is an audit partner based in KPMG’s San Francisco office and specializes in audit and tax services for domestic and offshore alternative investment vehicles, specifically venture capital funds, funds of funds and related investment funds. Prior to joining KPMG, Mr. Kehrli was a principal at Rothstein Kass where he played an integral role in the growth of its San Francisco office and the venture capital practice. Mr. Kehrli is a frequent speaker at industry events including PartnerConnect West – Venture Alpha and IBF’s VC Investing. Mr. Kehrli is also a member of Full Circle Fund and a contributor to the VC Network.

Stephen King, Founder & CIO, C12 Capital Partners

Stephen King is the firm’s Founder and Chief Investment Officer of C12 Capital Management LP and is responsible for all of the firm’s investment management activities. Mr. King was formerly a Managing Director of Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays, based in New York. He managed a proprietary trading group specializing in fixed income strategies.

Mr. King joined Barclays Capital in 2005, prior to which he held various positions at Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank, and Credit Suisse. Mr. King has a BEng from Kings College London and an MBA from London Business School.

Rodger R. Krouse is Co-CEO of Sun Capital Partners, a leading global private investment firm co-founded in 1995 with his partner Marc Leder. With approximately $8 billion of committed equity capital under management, Sun Capital focuses on leveraged buyouts, equity, debt and other investments, targeting underperforming companies, turnarounds and special situations, primarily involving small to mid-sized companies across a variety of industries. Sun Capital affiliates have invested in more than 340 companies since the firm’s inception, with combined sales in excess of $45 billion. Sun Capital supports its portfolio companies through an operations-intensive approach backed by a high ratio of in-house operating professionals to portfolio companies.

Mr. Krouse has more than 25 years of experience in leveraged buyouts, investment banking, and business operations. Working from Sun Capital‘s Boca Raton headquarters, Mr. Krouse co-directs all of the firm’s global investment activities, approves all capital commitments, and oversees the firm’s operations jointly with Marc Leder.

Prior to Co-Founding Sun Capital Partners in 1995, Mr. Krouse was a Senior Vice President of Lehman Brothers in New York. Mr. Krouse received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and currently serves on the Libraries Board.

Greg Kushner, Founder, President, Lido Advisors

Greg Kushner has provided financial consulting services for a variety of individual clients for over thirty years. In 1999 Mr. Kushner founded Lido Advisors, a Registered Investment Advisor, to provide objective and personal financial solutions, multigenerational planning, and to act as the “Chief Investment Officer” for ultra-high net-worth investors and family offices.

Mr. Kushner began his career in 1978 with Peat, Marwick & Mitchell, CPA’s (now known as KPMG) where he performed tax preparation and planning for clients of the firm. Subsequently he joined Security Pacific Bank and formed the Bank’s Personal Financial Planning Department. He later joined Price Waterhouse in 1985 as a Senior Manager in the Personal Financial Planning Department for the Firm’s Southern California region until 1989. Mr. Kushner served as Vice President with Chase Manhattan Bank in its Private Banking Department from 1989 to 1992 and as CFO and Family Office Director for a family owned Investment Company from 1992 to 1995. He is often quoted and speaks regularly on the subject of management of substantial wealth.
